I just read this article below that is very cynical about the Rabbit r1 device and basically poses the question “Why would I need a new device if I already have a $1,000 dollar iPhone?” which ironically the article states is a quote from Rabbit founder Lyu. The article then states the r1 device is pointless as the big tech giants such as Apple are going to be releasing similar products in the future.
But this post on X from Rabbit CEO Jesse Lyu gives me hope the r1 may be more than just marketing spin but think I’ll wait this one out as it’s going to take a long time for Rabbit to manufacture the 40,000+ r1 units if they were only expecting to sell 500.
