Key points about Optimus progress:

•More robots built for data collection and task training. At least 12 Optimus shown in latest video with an unknown number working in factories.

•Optimus has a neural network running onboard a FSD computer that is trained to perform multiple tasks like picking up objects. The neural net system operates independently on the robot with camera and tactile sensor input.

•The Tesla Bot team have seen success with Optimus increasing accuracy and self-correction while autonomously performing tasks.

•Optimus has been deployed in factories for real-world testing.

•Improved walking ability and stability have been achieved. Optimus can now walk around indoors without falling over. Tesla are working towards faster movement, terrain handling, and to ensure the neural net can operate consistently across different Optimus hardware units despite their slight variations.

Update on the progress of Optimus by Kovac, an Optimus Engineer at Tesla:

Optimus robots being trained to perform multiple tasks such as folding laundry, sorting household items, cleaning and organising batteries.
