Just had someone join the Facebook group and promote their own group about a niche robot, they poached 25 members and created a thriving group within less than a day. It took me MONTHS before the group had 25 members! Yet this person achieved that in less than a day. I started the Facebook group from NOTHING and would never dream of promoting my group in another group.
Cultivating the Facebook group organically over the last 3 years, to create the harmonious conditions that welcomed discussion of all companion robots and enabled discussion of this new niche robot to emerge, only to have someone who had just joined the group for less than 24 hours poach 25 of the highest engagement users.
Simply amazes me nobody even questioned or considered what this person was doing was wrong.
Just feels so disrespectful. The group now has zero discussion about this new robot, and I was enjoying reading the posts about it. So unfair, but that’s life. The selfishness displayed by some online is always incredible to observe and absolutely incomprehensible to me.
