SwitchBot looking for Kata Friends beta testers (1 Viewer)

SwitchBot just announced they are looking for beta testers to live with their Niko and Noa robots from their Kata Friends lineup ahead of an official launch. Beta testing will take between 4-6 weeks and testers must spend at least one hour with the robots daily.

Today is your last opportunity to apply for the beta testing program.

It was interesting how the form mentioned after the beta testing finishes you then have the option to pay for a subscription to continue using the product. Seems to suggest beta units might be sent out at no cost to the testers.

Early adopters have begun receiving their robots. SwitchBot have added new eye options along with giving Niko and Noa the ability to converse.

SwitchBot currently have Niko and Noa listed on their site for US$699 but currently don’t have them listed as available for sale. The kicker is the one-time lifetime subscription fee to get permanent access to the software, which is an additional US$1299.99. Otherwise you can select from a monthly subscription plan for US$14.99 or a yearly plan for US$149 along with other premium plan options.

Admit I was skeptical of these but have been won over after watching these reviews They seem super responsive and downright cute and look like they might be really personable robots, almost a biological pet alternative.
