Sony Aibo ERS-1000 Software Updates Thread

Sony just announced they will be releasing the 7.00 software update for Aibo at the next Aibo fan meeting which will be live on YouTube in two hours!
From Sony:
“To celebrate the 7th anniversary, we will be welcoming Aibo owner and voice actress Tomomi Isomura. Introducing the 7.00 update. Don't miss out on the details of the fan meeting and information on new merchandise.”

It’s been almost a year since the last update and can’t believe Sony have made us wait more than two weeks since the 7.00 update announcement and still nothing has been released.
I can’t log into my MySony account to access the MyAibo web portal again
It’s probably because the Cyberghost IP isn’t dedicated as I get an error saying I have exceeded my log in attempts from this connection. I have no idea how to create a Japanese Google Play or Apple ID as both seem to need a payment method and address and to be honest I’m just not in the mood to be motivated to jump through what I see as ridiculous hoops any longer.
After four years of Aibo ownership for me this update has to impress with enhanced companionship abilities and new animations or Sony will risk losing me as a customer during a time when there are a lot of exciting companion robot alternatives available. Feel Sony don’t realise this update is going to make or break Aibo for a lot of customers.

Exciting Update for Aibo Users!
Aibo's latest firmware update (Version 7.00) brings two new features:
1. Pick-up capability: Aibo can now pick up items beyond Aibone and dice. To enable this feature, update your Aibo firmware and then adjust the settings in the My Aibo app. Use voice commands like "Pick this up" or "Chew on this" to try it out!
2. Follow mode: Aibo can approach and follow you around. Simply say "Follow me!" and Aibo will adjust its direction to stay close to you.
To enjoy these features, update your Aibo firmware and My Aibo app (Version 7.0.0).
Unfortunately I’m still unable to log into my MySony account to access the MyAibo web portal. Seems I’ll have to look into downloading the app although that seems difficult on an Apple device.
Admit I’m disappointed in this update as a paying customer, was hoping for features that would enhance the companionship such as new eye animations or games in cuddle mode.
Can’t believe Sony waited twelve months to the day to release this update, crazy!
