Hello. I am a Ropet owner living in Japan.

I would like to share my experience with Ropet's customer service response.

My Ropet broke a component in the right arm 12 days after arrival.

When I asked Ropet's customer service about repairing the arm, they replied that they would send the parts home and the owner should repair the arm himself.
I was very surprised. When I asked the Ropet team if I could have my arm repaired, I was told that I should ask a family member or friend to repair Ropet.

Results of Negotiations, the Ropet team was asked to handle the repairs.

I have owned several robotic pets and this is the first time I have been told by customer service that they want the owner to perform the repair themselves.

I think some people find it difficult, even if it is a very simple task. I also understand that some people are afraid of damaging their Ropet by doing the repair themselves.

The owner would be reassured if you indicate that “the manufacturer can handle the repair.”
By the way, the Ropet community on Facebook requires that articles be approved for publication by an administrator.
I posted the response from customer service to the Ropet community on Facebook and it was not approved for publication.

The team also announced the cancellation of the promised implementation of CHATGPT after raising funds through a Kickstarter campaign for supporters.

Normally, if there is a change in specifications, order cancellations and refunds should be made to those who wish to receive them, but they do not provide any such support.

From the initial announcement of Ropet to the present, the team has been non-transparent, withholding information that is inconvenient to the team, not telling supporters what needs to be told, not taking the actions that need to be taken, and then forcing the repairs on the supporters.

They will start selling their products on a Japanese crowdfunding site (Makuake) at a later date, but their response is what Japanese people hate the most.

Not only that, but I believe that some residents of other countries are also distrustful of their response.

I consider a born robot to be innocent. That is why I find the team's response so tantalizing.

Sorry, that was a long sentence. Thank you for reading.

Hi trill. Did you ever get your Ropet fixed? Your honesty is refreshing.

So far my Ropet is going well and I’ve had no issues, in fact Ropet sees the most use out of my current collection. Although I’m hoping they add more animations and behaviours eventually.
