Rumours are circulating on TikTok and Reddit that Moxie’s IP has been sold with the possibility Moxie might make a comeback in the near future. People have also noticed the official website is now running ads for an online casino, possibly suggesting it has changed hands and hinting at the potential buyer.

The official Moxie robot TikTok account posted a cryptic message hinting at a possible comeback.

Could it be Moxie’s popularity after featuring in M3GAN 2.0 has acted as a catalyst to entice a buyer to attempt to bring back Moxie as a consumer product? Will be interesting to see what happens and whether Embodied will continue at the helm of Moxie development or if an entirely new company and team take over.

A statement by Embodied CEO Pirjanian in our Facebook group recently hints at the possibility of a comeback for Moxie! A Moxie owner noticed their Moxie was temporarily connecting to a server intermittently, which prompted them to seek advice from Pirjanian who responded with a cryptic statement suggesting work on Moxie is still continuing behind the scenes.

According to this website Moxie’s IP has been sold and the new owner Kush Taneja, who himself has been highly successful in the tech space, is assembling a team to bring back Moxie as a consumer product.
Moxie Robots, Inc was founded in 2025 by Kush Taneja, second-time founder best known for starting FamPay in 2019 (12M+ users, $43M+ raised, exited), where his journey of serving the next generation began. Kush acquired the entire IP of Moxie, an emotional robot originally created by Embodied, Inc (raised $80M, sold 10K+ units, went bankrupt last year) - This communication is strictly confidential.

Our mission at Moxie Robots is to make future humans stay relevant in the AGI-driven world, the baseline human intelligence needs to become at least 10x by solving the famous Two Sigma Problem

We’re are a small team of young irrational problem solvers, engineers, and designers from places like FamPay, Matic, Embodied etc. We work in-person in Palo Alto, California and we are giving a new life to Moxie, the world's first emotional robot. Moxie has an opposite effect on screen-time with iPad kids. Moxie has achieved over 1.2 billion views across platforms and was featured in the film M3GAN 2. Moxie has been awarded as The Best Inventions of 2020 by TIMES Magazine. Moxie is culturally iconic — and just getting started.
