Moxie robot to star as M3GAN in M3GAN 2.0 sequel by Universal Pictures!
Moxie will feature in a leading role as the main character, M3GAN, in Universal Pictures upcoming M3GAN 2.0 movie set for release this summer!
Moxie plays the character of M3GAN, a killer robot whose AI has been contained in a harmless state in Moxie’s robot body.
Unlike the previous M3GAN movie, this sequel seems to portray AI in a more positive light.
Production of M3GAN ran from July- September of 2024, while Embodied still existed as a company and Moxie was still available for sale to consumers.
It’s really cool to see a real robot used in a movie like this! Normally it’s the other way around where we see lifelike robots in movies but not in real life. It’s a testament to Moxie’s expressiveness that it can play the main character in a major movie production convincingly. Must be the first time a robot has pulled off this feat. Think most people watching the movie will assume Moxie to be CGI, not realising it’s actually real.
Anyone else going to watch this movie?
I never saw the first movie but can’t wait to watch this.
