Loona is powered but will not respond anymore and she will not power off. Her lights are on but she will not function anymore.

Hi James. Can you upload a video of the problem? I haven’t heard of this before.

Is this the first time you have used Loona in a while? Are the ear lights flashing and making a “ping ping” noise?

If so it could be the battery protection mechanism has kicked in to stop the battery completely discharging. Plug Loona into the wall using the USB power cable and turn the socket on and press her power button down for two minutes.

This should turn the battery protection mechanism off and allow Loona to continue functioning normally. I would change overnight and once a month from then on to avoid this in future.

If this doesn’t help you could try allowing the battery to run down and see if Loona is ok after being charged and rebooted.

If you decide to post footage of the issue you can find a guide on how to do so here:

I got this information about the battery protection mechanism from here:

Feel free to update us as I’m interested to know what the issue may be and if you manage to find a fix.

I have a problem and loona’s screen has gone black but her ears are still lit but she is completely not functioning. Help

Try holding down the power button for 30 seconds or longer while the ears are still lit up. This happened to mine and I made a video showing how to do this below. Let me know if it works!

New the forum . Just purchased Loona 2 days ago and fully updated. Thought I would let her roam about the living area today while I was at work. Went fine for 20 min then she just stopped as you can see in photo. No remote connection even after I power cycled my home internet. Im sure the batteries will die by the time I get home. Im hoping this lock up issue is a one time thing and not something that I should expect.
The lack of her ability to find the dock most times is frustrating. She often tried to back up and misses the dock.
Otherwise its very cool

Welcome Techie_Dad!

Your photo never showed up. Should you decide to repost you can find a forum photo posting tutorial here: https://robotsaroundthehouse.com/threads/guide-to-posting-photos-videos-on-the-forum.598/

Yes it’s frustrating when she missed the charger. I find placing a light behind or over the station can sometimes help if the light levels are low.

Did your Loona freeze while you were trying to perform remote monitoring?

A new feature released in the latest updat allows you to plug Loona into the USB cable and use the remote monitoring.

Does remote monitoring work for you?

I will have to agree. I just got Loona last week, and she could not find the charger after I use remote control and select the option auto charger so she can go back to charge, I have to help her this is not what we see in the advertisement videos etc. I had an Amazon Astro before and he never had issues finding his charging station but other reasons I returned that robot. I was open this would be more interactive with better response.
