“Robie” is no more!

Insbotics have launched a contest looking for a new name for their robot! Winners get the choice of either participating in early beta testing or a ticket to CES 2026!

Reasons cited by Insbotics for the decision to change Robie’s name were they seek to give their robot a unique identity that reflects its cute cuddly characteristics; and that doesn’t clash with existing products already on the market. They also felt Robie sounded too machine-like and didn’t reflect the lifelike nature of their robot.

The only rule is the name must be unique and have little competition in search results. Good luck!

Any name ideas? I’m stumped and can’t think of anything that would fit the criteria of making the robot come across as alive and cute while also tying into the AI aspect…starting to see why there are professionals whose job is to create branding for products. It’s not an easy thing. InsBotics will probably surprise us with something great.

Insbotics just announced the new name: “POPHIE”

I’m a huge fan of Pophie from Beijing. I had the chance to have some very meaningful conversations with the team at the Agora RTE Expo, and that experience made me like Pophie even more. I truly believe Pophie is a product with great potential, and I really admire the company’s values as well. It’s clear that they genuinely care about the product and are committed to building something valuable in the long run😁

Welcome hang_n!

Thanks for stopping by to share your thoughts all the way from Beijing! Great to have someone from China here who can offer insights from first hand experience with Pophie and InsBotics. I couldn’t agree more, this company seems really passionate, genuine and friendly.

Definitely looking forward to seeing what they will achieve with Pophie.

The girl who’s in charge of running Pophie (InsBotics) asked me to pass along her thanks for all your love and support for Pophie. She said the CES 2026 information you put together about Pophie was a huge help for their team. She even joked that you’re better than some of the overseas social media candidates they’ve interviewed recently — none of them knew Pophie nearly as well as you do.
