A new companion robot called Coglet is currently in development and the inventor is looking for beta testers.

Coglet features an LLM chat function, face tracking via animatronic eyes with embedded cameras, moveable ears, and can roll around using wheeled locomotion autonomously on a desktop.

No problem. Would be so cool if Coglet could move around and react to having its body pushed like Sony’s Poiq. Also they could implement touch recognition by using vision like Loona does for chin scratches. Or use a gyroscope/ accelerometer like Sony’s Aibo does to pick up touch on its stomach by sensing vibrations.

Wonder if the inventor will keep this as a hobbyist project or turn it into a consumer grade robot? Can see it could be hugely popular with the creepy cute Labubu vibe.

I agree, we have plenty of “desk companions” it would cool to have a sidekick robot that can go on real adventures and actually “experience” the moment with you. A robot that can reminisce about the times together from a participants perspective lol
