Computer scientist Kai Fu Lee of China believes China will excell in the AI arms race and has recently created an open source LLM known as 01.Ai which is said to be outperforming existing LLM’s despite only being developed this year.
Lee is a well known name in the technology world, having developed speech recognition systems.
