Sharing the surprising results of this poll from our Facebook group, seems Optimus might not be such a sure thing with 55% of respondents saying they would not purchase Optimus.

Poll is probably representative of a wider audience than the mainly Tesla owning audience on X where polls are overwhelmingly in favour of Optimus. Keep in mind this poll was conducted in a group where the majority of people are familiar with companion robots; which may indicate uptake among a general consumer audience might be even lower. Although this is all speculation on my part, but the results were shocking for me.

Facebook group poll results after 24 hours:

• 39% of people said Optimus was too expensive and they were not interested at any price.

• 10% of people would purchase a more affordable brand.

• 3% of people would purchase an alternative brand due to Musk’s politics

3% of people said they would build their own.

• 7% would buy outright at $30,000.

• 7% would buy outright at $20,000.

• 21% of people said they would Rent-To-Own

• 7% of people thought we should stop development of humanoid robots.

Unsure why 3% is unaccounted for.
