TCL Electronics unveiled Ai Me, the world's first modular AI companion robot, at CES 2025. This owl-looking device is designed as a companion for kids and families, featuring expressive digital eyes, a childlike voice, and advanced sensors and cameras to detect its surroundings.

Ai Me is modular, allowing users to detach it from its space capsule base which allows it to navigate on wheels and take it on-the-go.

Ai Me can record videos, capture pictures, and store memories, doubling as a surveillance camera for home monitoring. It's also modular, allowing users to take it on-the-go and connect it to smart devices, including cars, for seamless integration.

With its AI capabilities, Ai Me can recognize and describe its environment, and even create personalized highlights and reels for families.

Despite being a concept project, TCL showcased a functional prototype of Ai Me at CES 2025. What do you think? Would you buy Ai Me?

I have decided to wait at least a year on any robot to see if there are active updates, issues with hardware and if the company will even survive.
