YouTuber LJP Tech just posted a BabyAlpha unboxing video ahead of the Kickstarter launch happening later this month.

• BabyAlpha can be put into a guard mode where it will perform security patrols of your house and alert you when it comes across intruders.
• ChatGPT-4o integration is standard, enabling you to have conversations with BabyAlpha when connected to Wifi.
• BabyAlpha is brought to life with expressive body movements and facial emotions, despite having few moving parts.
• Touch sensors on the head enable BabyAlpha to respond to touch.
• Navigation and self correcting when falling is incredibly sophisticated.
• Hardware seems durable and high quality.
• Charging is done wirelessly with BabyAlpha autonomously returning to the station to charge.
What do you think? I was skeptical of BabyAlpha but this video really impressed me. BabyAlpha seems to have a lot of potential as a companion robot if you want a robot that can autonomously navigate the home seamlessly and quickly.
