Yes it is the same method. I am doing it on Windows and will make a video if needed, but it is the same files

Will this reset it back to where it can be paired with Open Moxie?

Mine didn't get unpaired from the app and now it just shows a yellow light bar and heart.

Yes, I am able to migrate it over to OpenMoxie, even if it wasn't unpaired from the app

What does the battery upgrade do and what’s the turnaround on service !

Once I get your Moxie, turn around time is within 2 days; depending on how many bots I'm working on (I also fix Cozmo and Vector bots) it may be the next day.
If I get your Moxie on a Saturday, it will ship out on Monday.

The battery upgrade involves me replacing the battery - six 2500 mAh 18650 batteries - with six new 3000 mAh cells. Embodied stated runtime on battery was 4hrs ...but I had a brand new Moxie in puppet mode from OpenMoxie and it lasted about 1hr 30mins; with the new batteries it lasted 3hrs.
If your moxie is always going to be plugged in you don't need it.
