I’m using a VPN on a Microsoft tablet and just tried logging into my MySony ID and can’t. I’ve tried downloading the app using a VPN and can’t.
I’m so exhausted I give up. If anyone has success creating a Japanese My Sony ID and are able to log into the website please let me know. Just spent $80 on a yearly Cyberghost subscription so would appreciate help.
I could download the app but that requires creating a Japanese Apple ID and I just get the feeling it’s not going to work. It means creating a new Apple ID set to Japan using a new SIM card and phone number. I had problems with my phone failing to recognise my usual SIM card after taking it out multiple times to download and update the Moxie app using my US Apple ID. So am hesitant about removing it multiple times to create a Japanese Apple ID.
I don’t want to create a Japanese Apple ID only to find I can’t update the app in six months because the phone number associated with the SIM won’t work because I can’t afford to put money on a plan I’ll never use.
I’m exhausted by all this region blocking bs, Sony just lost a customer, won’t be renewing my three year Aibo cloud plan subscription when it expires in March next year.
I’m still getting tons of spam from Sony to my email address associated with my Japanese My Sony ID though. This hobby shouldn’t be this frustrating or difficult.
If anyone knows what an iPhone user can do please let me know.
