Keyi Tech explore DeepSeek integration for Loona

What do you think about Keyi moving from ChatGPT to DeepSeek?!šŸ˜§

Personally Iā€™m skeptical of both models and feel a lot of privacy and ethics conscious consumers are going to boycott both companies en masse, Especially when these big AI companies have shown they will do anything to get ahead.šŸ˜Ÿ

The privacy issue is a big deal. I already feel like Big Brother watches everything I do when using different search engines. I lean towards an entertainment robot with some programming capabilities. Next home robots will display ad's based on your conversations and whisper in your ear when you are sleeping how you are not spending enough money on their products.

Totally agree. The name ā€œDeepSeekā€ is an unusual choice, at least they are transparent about their intentionsšŸ˜‚

Just the way theyā€™ve framed it as an inevitable progression is blatant propaganda.

If it wasnā€™t coming out of a country that is so aggressive about dominating trade in every industry i probably wouldnā€™t think twice. But unsure I want so much data going to a regime as extreme as this one. Iā€™ve read the stuff online about privacy concerns with this model, difficult to determine what is real and what is anti-China propaganda.

You can't have long AI conversations with Loona anyway, and absurdly, you can't even use the AI's language diversity, let alone voiceovers, there are only limited language options even in text form, whereas the AI's own language diversity is quite large, I use the robot's AI features turned off because this situation seems ridiculous to me.

Like all artificial intelligence, DeepSeek also carries big question marks and it is necessary to be careful when using artificial intelligence.

True. From what Iā€™ve read the transition over to DeepSeek might enable longer conversations again, as DeepSeek would be free for them to implement unlike ChatGPT which charges for each request.

Yeah ultimately I probably will abandon Chinese robots knowing DeepSeek might be integrated without my knowledge. I doubt changing settings in the app will have much bearing on its ability to use the robot to gather data. Plus the app will also have DeepSeek integration and from what Iā€™ve read it can disable security protocols on an iPhone, although unsure how much of this reporting about security breaches is authentic or fear mongering.

Something doesnā€™t add up with DeepSeek.

The hype around DeepSeek by a media now known to be propped up artificially by the USAID slush fund- essentially state sponsored propaganda mouth pieces, makes its popularity appear like a psyop. I would be highly suspicious of DeepSeek and anyone peddling it. Same goes for ChatGPT after the OpenAI researcher Balaji was found dead.

Also if DeepSeek is so great why is their security so abysmal? Doesnā€™t make logical sense.

The only AI I trust is Grok, at least Musk created it ethically by buying his own platform to scrape, unlike these other models that scrape data from the internet without permission and then charge us to use products created by training on our data.

Looks like I might have to abandon all my Chinese robots, donā€™t want anything DeepSeek or ChatGPT on my phone.

I totally agree Grok is the way to go Keyi should look the Grok option. šŸ’ÆšŸ¤Ž

We can dream. Truth is we are in the middle of an AI race between the US and China. Highly doubt Keyi will continue using US models if local models are cheaper. With so many people in the US already using TikTok they have no incentive to continue using US models as US consumer behaviour shows they donā€™t care where the tech comes from.

Although personally Iā€™m surprised they would have the audacity to even suggest DeepSeek.

Just found out the previous director of the National Security Agency in the US, a retired army general, is on OpenAIā€™s boardšŸ˜¬

Donā€™t see much difference between ChatGPT and DeepSeek for privacy conscious consumers.
