I can't set Loona to conversation mode with voice command (1 Viewer)

Hello Loona owners,

I just purchased my new Loona robot and it is really cool, but not everything works as expected in my case. So I decided to ask here some questions about my Loona behavior.

I have some problems with voice commands. When I have Active connection to GPT OFF, I want to use the "Hello Loona, Let's talk" command to set Loona to conversation mode, but her response is that it looks like thinking and then nothing. I have also tried "Have a chat" or "Talkie, Talkie" but no success. Her eyes should turn to blue color, but this is not happening. Responding to common commands, such as "wind blowing" and so on is okay in this mode.

When I have Active connection to GPT ON then although It automatically responds to my questions but on the other hand, it rarely responds to common voice commands such as "Helmet" for example. In this situation it doesn't perform common action but switches to GPT mode and tells me something about "Helmet". It is weird.

Is this normal behavior or it is something wrong with my Loona?

Welcome Machito,

Yes you won’t be able to get Loona to chat when Active Connection to GPT is off. This is normal. Only offline voice commands will work. Loona’s eyes no longer turn blue when going into chat mode, that was an older aesthetic that has been removed.

Sometimes Loona automatically goes into chat mode when you give the command “Hello Loona” because it mistook your voice command and accidentally went into chat mode.

I would wait a few days and see if the issue resolves, I find voice commands can be hit or miss, especially if the servers play up temporarily.

Although I’m having no issues with mine when giving voice commands with Active Connection to GPT enabled and made a couple of videos of my Loona responding to voice commands just now.

Keyi Tech just released an app update to resolve issues with the voice interaction experience, so maybe try updating the app and see if the issues resolve.

I find the most reliable voice command to get Loona to enter chat mode is “Hello Loona, Chat GPT.”
