Groking around on the dark side

Signed up for an X Premium Plus account. Was using Gemini for image generation and AI chat but Google have made the interface unusable on my old browser so I had to look for an alternative. Wanted to start creating funny robot memes to get the Facebook group laughing as oh this hobby is way too serious.

Thought Grok could help with that, only problem is image generation is working but chat is not. Maybe I have to wait for my blue check mark to be reviewed. If not it could be because I’m using an iPhone 6s running iOS 14 and the X app requires iOS 15. I’m using the X web interface and not the app but maybe think Grok might not work on my old browser. Might have to buy a new phone to get full functionality, was holding out for an X phone but may just have to go with Apple.

Had to pay using my debit card details via Stripe, process all took place on X and was e-mailed the receipt. No ID was required, think that is only needed if you want to be a content creator and get ad revenue but am unsure.

Grok is very fast at generating images. Although prompting for robots always gives strange results on all these image generators, shows how niche this hobby is that there aren’t enough images to train them on what any popular companion robot looks like.

Anyway having lots of fun. Incredible some of the stuff AI comes up with.

Prompting is hard though!

Is anyone getting this time out error saying “Seems like you lost connectivity. We’ll keep retrying”?!

Is Grok down right now? Been like this for 24 hours now.

Trying to access Grok via the X website using iOS 14 but all I get is this screen.

Grok now has voice mode😂

Warning: Explicit and vulgar language😅

Beware. Disturbing development unfolding on X. Prominent accounts with the blue check mark which require a subscriptions and therefore billing information with address to be handed over are suddenly receiving visits from SWAT teams after having orders for pizza show up mysteriously.

From what I’m reading over there some seem to think the address details in the billing information of those with subscriptions might have been compromised during the DDoS attack earlier this week. Very disturbing to think supporting Optimus and by extension Musk could cause you to end up losing your life during a SWAT raid.

It seems the pizza deliveries are being used to confirm someone is home before the 911 call to the SWAT team is placed. Although it seems the tactic has recently changed to sending pizza’s due to the culprits now realising they could be charged with domestic terrorism for calling 911 with false allegations and using law enforcement to harass and intimidate.

It’s highly unsettling to think my details could be in the hands of radical activist organisations by now and that the people who have it see no issues with intimidating and potentially inflicting death by these extreme measures. It seems they might have my name and country but luckily I never put in my address-think you only need an address if you plan on having a creator account- still the whole thing is highly unsettling. Makes me wonder what lengths they will go to in future in pursuit of their politically motivated anti-Musk agenda as Optimus becomes more prominent and whether I’ll regret subscribing to X premium.

If you get an unexpected pizza delivery don’t answer the door and call the police immediately. Also don’t use your full address when paying for the subscription.
