Cyan robotics has just unveiled their latest humanoid offering, Amoo—a delightfully plush dinosaur-inspired companion robot that’s stealing hearts everywhere.

Gone is the more hard-edged look of their previous robot, ORCA. Amoo takes a joyful leap in a completely different direction: soft, cuddly and unmistakably charming.

The future isn’t about cold industrial tech—Cyan Robotics mission is to weave advanced robotics into our everyday lives in ways that feel warm, welcoming, and fun. By wrapping cutting-edge AI, smooth movement, smart sensing and thoughtful interaction into a plush, approachable dinosaur form, Amoo makes humanoid robots feel like family members or beloved pets rather than gadgets.

Imagine a gentle dino buddy that pads around your home, offers a soft hug, expresses curiosity with big lifelike eyes, and helps fill ordinary days with wonder—all while blending seamlessly into your living space like a favourite stuffed toy come to life. It’s the perfect evolution for anyone who dreams of robots as true companions: kind, playful and never intimidating.

Cyan’s commitment shines through—making advanced robot technology visually appealing, emotionally engaging, and accessible to everyone, from curious kids to grandparents who just want a friendly presence around the house. The future isn’t just curious…it’s cuddly too.

With Amoo, Cyan Robotics is reminding us that humanoid robots can bring smiles, comfort, and a touch of wonder into our homes. Who wouldn’t want a plush dino pal cheering up the day? The future is soft, scaly and full of heart.

“Qingxin Yichuang, also known as Cyan Robotics, a company developing companion robots, has secured Pre-A funding led by Houxue Capital and Tianji Capital. The company, founded by former Huawei autonomous driving team members, is creating an ultra-small bipedal robot with emotional gait and multimodal interaction. The robot, targeting high-end consumers, will be launched this year and aims to expand into B-end scenarios like commercial display and elderly care.”

“Cyan was established at the end of 2023 and officially formed a team in April 2024. Headquartered in Shanghai, it focuses on the design and research and development of general-purpose intelligent robots. In October 2024, the company released ORCA, a full-size universal body-on intelligent robot. After ten months of research and development, the team has launched Amoo for the high-end companion market.

Judging from the appearance, Amoo has a small bi-footed body of less than 80 cm, and the whole body is made of plush material, which supports the personalized matching of colors and clothing. The team abandoned the hardcore mechanical sense of traditional robots and joined hands with well-known designers and design institutions to design a cute "little dragon man" appearance for Amoo.

The reason why Amoo was developed is that the team believes that the ideal companion should not be a cold mechanical creation, but a "family" who can make people feel close and get along with each other.

Cyan believes that the core of companionship is "responsive emotional connection". Therefore, the team has built an emotional expression system with full-dimensional perception ability and multi-modal coordination for Amoo, so that it can read, understand users, and respond to users accurately.”
