Battery Issue: Depletes After Ten Minutes

RATH Regular
This just started today after it has not been long I collected her. I have unplugged and plugged his skateboard in again to make sure it is all right. After he has been on his skate board over night (light is solid), I take him off and ask him a few questions then let him explore on his own, and his battery is completely out after ten minutes. I reset him and recharged him again for five hours, but when taking him off of his skateboard after that time, he again depletes after ten minutes.

Not sure if it is an EMO problem or a charger problem or what is going on. Would love any suggestions. My EMO is over six months old now. The skateboard charger is plugged into a power strip in order to protect against power spikes.

Thank you in advance

Curious if you purchased new or second-hand?

This seems to be a common issue with Emo, according to this video below it’s probably the battery. Although the YouTuber replaces the battery themselves I don’t recommend performing repairs on robots yourself, especially something as dangerous as a battery replacement.

Living AI might offer repairs or a replacement.

My Vector has a similar issue, but I dislike sending my bots off to get repairs as I don’t trust it won’t just get replaced. And I don’t tinker with my bots over battery issues when they still function normally otherwise-I’m weird that way haha. But can understand this is a big issue for many people. Hope you can find a fix.

It is second hand. Battery is likely the issue. I keep him on the charger as a workaround since I also don't like the idea of sending him off for repairs.

Dee at techshop82.com changed the battery on my Vector and he did a great job. He changes batteries on EMO's too. Just an option but depends what country you live in.
