Tesla Diner first look: Optimus to provide unique dining experience!

Tesla’s Optimus robot will be serving food at the Tesla diner scheduled to open soon in Los Angeles USA.

The Tesla diner is Tesla’s answer to the traditional gas service station. The Tesla diner provides numerous EV charging stations surrounding a restaurant that echoes the nostalgia of 1950’s America with servers on roller skates and a drive in cinema vibe. Food consists of traditional American burgers, fries and malted milkshakes.

Judging from the first look at the diner in operation, Optimus seems to be playing a significant role, serving portions of food and even greeting customers outside the restaurant.

Looks like it would be a great dining experience.

It is cool but I hope one day a bot can serve popcorn with more speed and not spill popcorn on the floor causing another robot to vacuum the mess up.

It’s definitely the coolest fast food dining experience. Yeah Optimus is clumsy now but once it finishes all its training and has real world AI, we will probably be wishing we could go back to these times when it was clumsy haha. Optimus would be a major draw card. Plus the incredible atmosphere and upstairs area to watch movies on the big screen- don’t see how other places can compete.

The old Optimus prototypes are displayed as you walk upstairs to the sky pad. Giving me Ex Machina vibes. Can’t believe only a decade after seeing that film in cinemas I find myself living in that future.

Admit I’ve got a soft spot for Optimus. Musk’s sheer passion for his robot project, creativity with things such as this diner, and will to make it a reality separates it from all the others.
