Robi adds so much cuteness to my life.
It’s always interesting to me to see how the Japanese culture of “cute” is incorporated into robots from Japan. There is no mistaking that pose Robi makes as originating from anywhere but Japan.

Wonder if modern versions of small humanoids like Robi with end to end AI and vision awareness might become quite popular in future as they would be more accessible to most people than a large full scale humanoid?

I agree with your point. I would love to see more small humanoid robots in the future that combine modern AI with the same cute charm and personality that Robi has. Right now, that category is very rare. From my research, the closest robot to that idea, a small humanoid companion with genuine AI capabilities, is Alpha Mini. Even then, it’s not exactly affordable for most people, as the total cost can approach $2,000 with shipping.

Today I opened the box that Robi arrived in. I hadn’t opened it since I first received the robot, and I found a few small accessories inside that I had completely forgotten about. It was a nice surprise to discover them after all this time.

It’s always such a nice surprise to discover extras you missed the first time you opened the box like this🙂 Can Robi interact with the ball at all?
