Importing Moflin from Japan: What You Need to Know

If you're interested in bringing a Moflin robot companion into your home, here are some essential points to consider:

•Availability: Moflin is currently only sold in Japan by Casio, and it's not available for overseas purchase.

•Voltage: The Japanese version of Moflin operates at 100V, which may require a transformer for use in countries with different voltage standards.

•Recommended transformer: Model Kashimura TI-77, a step-down transformer to convert voltage to Japanese 100V, available for purchase on zenmarket.jp

Moflin robot: Unboxing and app set up

Great video showing the unboxing and set up process for Moflin. And most importantly how to download the MofLife Japanese region locked Moflin app. Note you download apps from unofficial sources at your own risk and I won’t be responsible for any harm or damage they may inflict. Setting up a dedicated Japanese GooglePlay or Apple ID to download the app is probably safer if you are worried about malware. Although going the official route may require a payment method when setting up the Japanese GooglePlay or Apple ID, and a VPN, which is why most people seem to opt for the simpler two click APK method.

Downloading Moflin MofLife app on Android:

1. Download APK Pure.

2. Then download the Japanese Moflin MofLife app. You will require a name and telephone number but it doesn’t seem to require a Japanese phone number at this time.

Downloading Moflin App on Apple iOS:

1. Attempt changing app store region to Japan.

2. If that fails create a new Apple ID from scratch using a new phone number and SIM card and set your region to Japan from the get go.
