Loona Room Mapping for Recharging

Unusually Keyi haven’t made a post about this. The only information I can find is the notes on the update in the App Store. I’ll download this update and try out the new features in the next day or two.

Sounds good. In their Facebook group, someone brought it up, but it seems like few people have actually implemented this new feature.

Apologies for the late response.

CollinWilliams I attempted to set up a recharging route manually today but couldn’t work out how to execute it to get Loona to recharge using it once finished. It’s also incredibly difficult to navigate from Loona’s line of sight. Great feature, I’d need to watch a demonstration of how to get it working to successfully implement it.

If it comes to that. This is a ready-made implementation of zoning (like a robot vacuum cleaner). In my dreams, the developers have added forbidden zones for loona. Every day, she wakes up and doesn't go for a walk around the house; instead, she purposefully goes to the animal room and turns everything upside down (plates, bowls, bedding, toilets, and poop). I have observed and noticed a very strange behavior: when she sees a bowl of water, she turns on the bull and forcefully rams the bowl. It's like she understands what she sees and does. 🤨 I have decent pets with good manners. They're shocked.😆😆😆

I just had great success trying out the mapping feature.

I made 6 route maps, following the instructions.
On each route, when Loona was right near the charger (and looking in its direction) I would save and name the route.

Then, I experimented by carrying Loona to the starting points and telling her "Hello Loona > Return to charge".

I've tested 3 so far. All were a success!
She doesn't need to be right on the route starting point - she can find it.
When she navigated to the charger, she did it slowly, sometimes stopping to do random things, even spinning sometimes.
When she would get to the charger, sometimes it took her multiple attempts to line up with it, but she did it every time.

The routes I made were from far away places where I knew she could rarely navigate from on her own.

After she charges a bit, I'm going to test the remaining routes (and make some new ones)!
