Embodied haven’t replied back. They want the order number for the refurb but I’m reluctant to give it to them as I don’t want them knowing the serial number as I don’t plan on connecting that one to the cloud.

I’ve voided the warranty by importing outside the US so have decided to take responsibility and put my semester studying mechatronics engineering at university to use and try to fix them myself.

To save on repair costs I might take the shells off and find the batteries then take them to an electronics repair technician to see if they can recommend a suitable battery replacement and get them to replace it. I might get both batteries replaced as I stupidly left the refurb in storage too long.

I don’t recommend buying a refurb, it states on the base it was manufactured in 2020. So is quite old. For the extra $100 I wish I had purchased new.

I’ll also get them to have a look at the fan on the loud one. It sounds like something has come loose and is dangling vertically inside the head, catching in the fan blades, as it doesn’t make the noise when I hold it horizontally.
