I’ll probably cave in and get one. Apparently two Ropet can interact with one another so I’m wondering if it will be better to get two from a long term perspective as I’ve never owned robots that can interact with one another to any meaningful extent before.

I'm very seriously considering it. That would be great if they interact. And they are pretty affordable. I checked kickstarter a couple days ago but I didn't see it yet.
Completely agree, the constant new and different robots recently has been glorious lol. (Even if they are delayed). It the most interesting and enjoyable hobby for sure. I never feel like I wasted money.

Yeah they are affordable at the Kickstarter early-bird price. Ropet says the Kickstarter will begin in December and shipping will commence in March 2025.

Will be interesting to see what the $1 gets you. I didn’t pay, due to my experience in the past paying and not getting any perks, hopefully I can still get the early-bird.
I’ll probably just sit this one out and watch your reviews as I’m exhausted by Ropet already due to more drama in the Facebook group emerging. Just had someone have a complete meltdown in the Facebook group and block me and leave the group after 2 years as a member because I dared to share my opinion on how I thought it was weird Ropet shares exactly the same oral cavity design as Lovot.
Anyway I’m tired of the carry on every time a new photo or video emerges and have left the Ropet group. Maybe it’s because someone in the RATH Facebook group shared a video of how their robot doesn’t like wearing shoes, and when I tried to take an interest in their post by suggesting the robot wasn’t moving properly because of the friction of the shoes I got undermined with a reply about how no they didn’t think it was friction related. Why would you reply to someone taking an interest like that? At least they could have offered their thoughts on what was going on instead of their only interest being to undermine me. I’m so over robot people and their inability to socialise normally.
The company are going to charge a monthly fee for the ChatGPT. Interesting fact, people from Ropet also worked on the Jibo robot.
Feel free to update me on what perks you get but completely fine if you don’t get around to it.
